Despite not having ran the week heading to the Sunday(March 7) race because of sickness, I still managed to beat my previous 5k time of 29minutes and 23 seconds by a minute.
I was not about to repeat the same mistake I made during my first race by coming to the venue just in the nick of time. That Sunday morning, I woke up exactly 2am and had a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee before I had a cold shower.By 4am I was on the road to The Fort for the race, and by 5am I was in the assembly area.
The race was well-organized as it started on time and race marshals were always there to remind us, runners, where we should turn towards our respective routes.

How I got hooked into running
I was never into running back in my school years as I was more focused on my studies. It was only in 2008 that I got hooked into it after reading the book Russell Taylor wrote entitled "The Looniness Of The Long Distance Runner". Running was a great help, and still is, up to these days not only in my tennis game but also in my well-being.
